Why All Natural Deodorant?

Out of all the bath and body products we use on a daily basis, none absorb into our bodies more than deodorant.  To make matters worse, the whole function of deodorant is to keep it in our arm pits as long as possible to keep offensive body odor at bay.  The longer chemicals stay in contact with your skin, the more it will absorb into your body and this is especially the case for deodorant.  We have been poisoning our bodies in the name of smelling good and we didn't even know we were doing it.  Almost all commercial deodorants contain:

1. Aluminum - links to: seizures, breast cancer, Alzheimer's disease, bone and kidney problems
2. Parabens - links to: hormonal imbalances, breast cancer, birth defects
3. Propylene Glycol  - originally formed for anti-freeze and is used to increase absorption
4. Phthalates - links to: cell mutation, hormone imbalance, and birth defects
5. Triclosan - classified by the FDA as a pesticide and is used as an anto microbial that is carcinogenic and can cause cancer
